Your Responsibilities

As a nature host, you will help tourists and residents take care of our fantastic nature in a sustainable way. Your working days will mostly be spent outdoors, where you will act as a “walking tourist information guide.” You will greet tourists with good hospitality and assist hikers, cyclists, and other visitors with all kinds of questions and inquiries.

You will walk along our trails to ensure they are kept clean and well-maintained. Additionally, you will work on various conservation efforts, such as making and installing birdhouses, clearing paths, and repairing boardwalks. Perhaps you have some creative and exciting ideas that can help develop the area!

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is in high school and enjoys being outdoors and staying active every day. It is an advantage if you study at an agricultural high school or similar, but it is not a requirement.

You are responsible, cooperative, helpful, and proactive. Since the job involves contact with people, it is important that you have a good demeanor and show hospitality. You need to be able to communicate in Swedish and English. It is also an advantage if you can speak additional languages.

We Offer You

During the introductory week, you will receive a training package that includes hospitality training, sustainability training, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), and first aid. You will also receive a clothing package at the start of your employment.

The Technology and Property Management contributes to making Halmstad an attractive city to live and visit. We develop, build, and manage the municipality's public environments such as streets, squares, parks, forests, natural areas, and municipal facilities. We also coordinate events and sports and leisure activities to promote public health by collaborating with and supporting associations.
